Situated on a woody peninsula in the small village of Petrčane on the stunning Adriatic coast of Croatia, the first Stop Making Sense festival promises to entertain and thrill in equal measure.
More than a music/dance festival, this is a holiday in a beautiful spot with great value family run restaurants, villas by the beach to rent, and independently owned small hotels and campsites. You can even charter your own yacht and moor up right by the action!
With a stellar line up of DJS and bands playing across the dance musical spectrum (from jazz, folk and latin to house and techno via reggae, dubstep and electro), this is the perfect combination of sun, sea and entertainment. The music programme runs from noon to 6am every day and night: there is always something on to check out between a dip in the sea off the festival's very own private beach, a drink at the tiki bar or a bite at one of the many great value waterside restaurants nearby.
Brought to you by a like minded collective of club and concert promoters, the first Stop Making Sense event presents a broad selection of musical delights over 3 days and nights. We invite you to let go and party with us!
The site is a pine shaded complex jutting out into the blue Mediterranean: an open air mainstage for cutting edge live music under the stars, a tiki bar-fuelled alfresco dancefloor lapped by the waves, and an incredible 70s designed and lovingly restored nightclub to lose yourself in til dawn. Not forgetting the outrageous twice daily boat parties…
The village of Petrčane is refreshingly devoid of big hotels developments, chain restaurants, and shopping malls. Instead, it is small and friendly, wrapped around a small bay with stunning views both out to sea and inland towards the rugged Dalmatian mountain range.
Only 20 minutes from the airport of Zadar (serviced by Ryan Air from London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Brussels, Olso, Stockholm, Dusseldorf and Frankfurt) and 90 minutes from the airport of Split (Easyjet flies there from London, Bristol, Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin) this is truly a unique and special place to enjoy, explore, relax and go wild in.

Please note: we do not post tickets bought via our Paypal account. Please print off your PayPal receipt and bring it along with your ID to the box office to collect your tickets. We do not refund tickets but can transfer to another name. Admission to the boat parties and after-parties over the festival days requires a festival pass.
1. Tickets are non-returnable. Refunds will only be available if the Festival is cancelled or entirely rescheduled. The performers and advertised attractions are subject to change, and no refunds will be offered if any performances are cancelled.
2. The Promoter will not issue duplicate tickets for lost or stolen tickets. If you have a "will call" ticket ie on the guestlist held at box office on site, and cant make it for any reason get in touch as you could nominate a friend to attend in your place! Tickets are transferable for a wrist-band on arrival at the site.
3. Camping is not permitted on the Festival site, for camping and all other accommodation requirements please see relevant page. No animals will be allowed on to the site during the Festival, with the exception of guide dogs.
4. Children under 12 will be admitted free of charge but must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder at all times.
Children over the age of 12 are required to hold a valid ticket.
5. Persons attending the Festival may be filmed or recorded as part of the audience.
6. The Promoters cannot accept liability for any damages, loss or injuries sustained at the Festival, including loss or damage to property, howsoever caused.
The nearest airport to the village of Petrčane is Zadar (20 minutes by taxi)
with Ryanair direct flights from London Stansted, Edinburgh, Dublin,
Brussels, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Oslo, Stockholm and Pisa.
Next closest airport is Split (90 minutes away) with Easyjet direct flights

INFO: Call it ghettopop, call it bongo dance, call it the tropical world clash showdown, the Radioclit sound system is now four years old, and the heat is on. It was in 2005 through their monthly residency at Vice magazine's Old Blue Last pub in London, and the sessions that could follow any of those nights back at their Hackney studio, that they began to get known throughout the world. Those nights will go down in club history, the first of their kind to showcase the ghetto sounds of Baltimore projects, the dirty south or Rio favelas in Europe. Whether it was David Banner slamming through the crowd, Sinden or Diplo blowing up the spot, or Amanda Blank showing the world why she’s one of the most important mcs spitting today, they were alerting London to some of the heaviest talent to emerge for an age. And together with Switch, Sinden, Diplo, M.I.A, Buraka Som Sistema, Bonde Do Role, Ed Banger and Institubes, there’s now a fervently innovative worldwide scene with arms linked, and Radioclit as an essential part of that chain.
INFO: Lakuti’s break through came when she met legendary Trojan Soundsytem dj Earl Gateshead, who took her underhis wing . They promoted a monthly Friday for about 1 year at the hugely influential underground club , Plastic People . Lakuti alongside alan “Portable” Abrahams started their successful underground parties in London over 8 years ago. They established the Süd Electronic imprint in October 2002 & lakuti established Uzuri Recordings Nov 2007 to rave reviews & has since established The Uzuri Artist Bookings & Management agency.
INFO: Her extended Sunday afternoon sets at Panorama Bar are extremely varied musically, ranging from Techno, Disco, Vintage Electro and a pinch of Pop, however House is always at the gravitational centre. Sometimes it's hard to put a finger on a dj's speciality, but with Tama Sumo, a surplus of emotions and open-mindedness can easily be detected. She manages to transfer these skills onto the dance floor creating a special atmosphere of sexiness garnished with an essential dose of dirt
INFO: Detroiter Patrice Scott has been spinning house records since the 80's. Influenced by pioneers such as Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Larry Heard, Ron Hardy and many others, Patrice Scott developed his own distinct taste and style of DJing, which later evolving into production. Evolving further as a producer, Patrice Scott been lately releasing music on his own label Sistrum Recordings.
INFO: Movimientos is the UK’s most forward and conscious-thinking promoter of new Latin music in all its forms. DJ Cal never fails to deliver a blistering dance floor session. Catch him on the first boat party of the weekend with the rest of the Movimientos crew.

INFO: 18-year-old wunderkind Kyle Hall has been actively involved in Detroit’s house music scene since the age of 11 Hall’s first break as a producer came at age 16, when he was approached by deep house luminary Omar-S, whose FXHE label released his debut record and introduced his music to a wider audience for the first time This versatility has been showcased on Hall’s own Wild Oats imprint, launched in 2008 Hall’s releases on Wild Oats have met with wide critical acclaim and placed him squarely on the radar of those interested in the future of electronic music.
INFO: Juan Atkins is widely credited as the originator of techno music, sometimes known as Detroit Techno since Atkins and techno co-creators Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson grew up in that city. Atkins coined the term techno to describe their music, taking as one inspiration the works of futurist and author Alvin Toffler, from whom he borrowed the terms "cybotron" and "metroplex". What better way for us to celebrate 25 years of Techno with the creator! of the genre!
INFO: Keith Worthy is a label owner, DJ and producer. Along with Omar S and Patrice Scott he is one of the most intriguing figures of the newest Detroit generation. Keith Worthy's has taken his highly regarded sound, ranging from ultra deep and organic to soulful to tech, around the globe as a DJ, and as a producer his style remains ultra deep and organic with juicy strings lush pads and beats . INFO: Rebolledo, born and raised in Xalapa, Mexico, is resident of the legendary "Santanera", in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. There he developed his very own style of playing, mixing old and new odd dancetracks, driven by a persistent disco groove Feeling the necessity of links between tracks he used to play in the club, he started developing his own rough and edgy rhythms. Matias Aguayo, whom he had played with several times at his night in the "Santanera" got interested in his material, helped him to develop it and to share it with people via his label "Cómeme"

At the controls are infamous Chilean house maverick Matias Aguayo and his Mexican compadre Rebolledo, one of the premier artists on Matias' amazing Comeme label. Get your tickets quick for this one!

Renowned worldwide for his radio shows and club sets alike, he's amassed a fanbase who have come to see him as a leader in the future and soulful music movement, mixing the genres of hip hop, house, soul, funk, dubstep, and more, seamlessly taking his audience from one genre to the next.
Alongside his weekly BBC show on 1Xtra Benji has been running his club night Deviation Sessions in the East London's Gramaphone for almost two years. Each month he installs a bespoke soundsystem on which have played the likes of Flying Lotus, J Davey, Martyn and Skream to Moodymann, Dam-Funk and many more. It is now widely regarded as one of the very best club nights in London.
INFO: Theo Parrish moved to Michigan in 1994, where he became heavily involved in Detroit's underground music scene. Since his arrival, he has helped spawn a resurgence of dance classic selections among local DJ talents. An original resident of 'Better Days', Theo's sound has been called everything from spiritual to infectious.

INFO: At 23 years old, WBeeza is a prodigious young talent and a breath of fresh air on the scene. His roots are not in the typical House, Techno or international dance scene, but are rather in a very local London scene; the UK Garage and rave scene and the London Urban scene. Deep, grooving, already with an individual voice, and definitely kicking this is London music.!
